  1. My first reaction from the video was that the woman had a few racist comments but watching further on she began to explain more and that her comments were not racist at all.

  3. M first reaction i thought her speech wasn't racist because she said the farm land already owned by a colored person was taken by a white colored person that seems unfair my second reaction was the same as the first i did not notice anything changing

  4. My first reaction was that I needed more than three minutes to determine if she was a racist or not. Than when I saw the whole thing it was clear that her comments weren't racist and had to do with social classes and money.

  5. At first my reaction was tat she made some racist comments, on seeing the rest of the video she did not sound racist at all. This shows that it's important to know you have the WHOLE picture, not just a piece of something.

  6. My reaction in the 3 minute video was that her comments were racist but when later looking at the 7 minute video it changed my idea of her. I realized that she wasn't racist at all because she had learned from her previous mistake of putting a white layer in thinking that he'd help a white farmer just because they both have the same skin color.

  9. When the video was shown to me with only two minutes to it, i believe that the women had some racist comments but not a lot , but when 7 minutes was shown i saw nothing about being white or black but she was talking about how its not a race thing but a money thing . How the lawyer didn't care if he was white but how poor we was.

  12. I never felt Ms. Sherrod was a racist after all the things black people have gone through her remarks were understandable, but as we reviewed more her point became more clear , and had other people who had viewed it an felt it was inappropriate would have had a different insight.

  14. When I saw the 3 minute clip, I believed Sherrod was racist, but after seeing the rest of the clip, I realized I was wrong. She was basically learning form her mistake. She realized that it's not a matter of white vs black, but have vs have nots.

  15. The first time I seen the clip I thought she was racist, but as I watched more I found that she wasn't and that there is more to something than it seems. The people that edited the clip only made it seem like she was and they wanted others to think that she was racist but she really wasn't and I respect that she spoke her mind and later in the clip she told the audience about how she felt about helping the "white" farmer.

  17. At first, I wasn't entirely sure if I should call her a racist, and I needed more information to decide. After seeing more of the clip, I heard some more of what Shirley said and it was clear that she wasn't racist.

  19. My first reaction was that they should've given her a chance. It didn't seem like she was trying to be racist. The second viewing showed me that she wasn't really the racist that people perceive her to be.

  20. Sherrod's speech can be portrayed as having racist comments if u only hear a small part of it but hearing the whole speech u realize that she didnt have any racist comments and only wants change.
