i find it not as shocking because he probably knew it was his picture but he was just trying to avoid being caught
I believed it! He is so careless and some people are just so disgusting and pity full! It is people like him that run it for just regular ordinary people like us.
He should have taken responsibility for his actions in the first place instead of denying and covering up. He should have been smarting and watch what he post on twitter because it can get out to the public
i don't think he should of put that on twitter especially since he's a rep. that isn't a good look especially since it can get him fired and stuff.
Not too surprised because there will always be some type of corruption and ethical problems within any body of power. It also wasn't to much of a surprise that he admitted it because there was no chance of him being able to keep up his lie. He had to confess or be labeled as a liar that no one would listen to later on. Manning up and confessing shows that he has some sense of responsibility and a little sense of ethics.
I think that he should have thought twice. He is supposed to be an example for people and right now he's making a disgrace of himself. He is making everyone affiliated with him embarrassed for his wrong doing. I feel bad for his wife because they haven't even been married that long and he's just ruining not only his marriage but his political career.
I think it's good he finally came out with the truth, because the lies were embarrassing to hear. On the other hand, he has made a complete fool of himself by lying in the first place. Because it was so clear that he was having these relations, that no one "hacked his account," lying made him look like a complete loser. If you take these sort of actions you might as well have the guts to come out clean about them, the moment they happen. Cheating on his wife is bad, but not having the balls to pay for the consequences is so shameful.
Considering his position in the government, Wiener was evidently unprofessional and disrespectful. Although admitting fault to something is allegedly the right thing to do, in Wiener's case I do not feel that it should justify any of his actions. Participating in sexting to begin with is wrong but taking part of it while having a job such as his is an even greater mistake. He is a public political figure that will now be viewed as corrupt for his actions. Not only did he show an incontrollable sexual side to him, which is completely unprofessional, he proved infidelity to his wife thus adding on to his immorality.
I think that it is good he stepped forward and told the truth about what he did, we all would have found out it was the truth eventually anyway
I find this very shocking and also immature of him. This shows how careless and irresponsible he is.
In my opinion, It shouldn't be any of our business with what he does in his spare time. People should mind their own business. Everyone in the world does it, If people were going to vote for him before what will change their mind now, Because he sent some pics to girls. But thats just me
I think he shouldnt have posted on twitter because its pretty unofficial.
I think he just made himself made look bad and people now will hate him for what he did.
When will politicians learn? Whenever they do something like this they always get caught. He is a married man and a member of Congress. He should be setting an example for people as a government official.
i think he should of thought before he acted. This is what he gets for being pervertive and disgusting. Then he tried to lie and say his account was hacked but somehow he said he took those pictures. i also think he should atleast though of a better lie but atleast he admitted that he did it and it was wrong
i think he should of thought twice about the effects and knowing that he has a wife is very disrespectful . he should have take full responsibility of his actions instead of lying at first.
I think that we all knew he was going to confess because his response that he didn't know if the pictures were of himself or not was not going to make the people content. I don't think that what he did was the worst thing in the world it was just the lying i don't respect.
i think Rep.Wiener was wrong for posting those picture on a website like twitter. People can see and get access to them so fast. He shoulda throught twice before he posted them or send them to anybody
My reaction as soon as I heard the story was that he's simply a moron. I also found it hilariously ironic that his last name is Wiener and hes in trouble for sending provocative pictures of his torso area.
he was just probably expressing himself but it was irresponsible and his lie has no benefit at all so there was no point to it.
in the story i read ofcourse nothing came positive out of this situation. in some certain cases you would think there might be a good side that came out it or something but in this case nothing can be found good. i was both disturbed and shocked because these are the people that we trust and hold high in government position but when things like this happen it makes me rethink where this world is going to...
my reaction about this story is just like every other dumber out there.i read about the lady that step up and told the truth and i felt like she was just as stupid and dumb as him.no real women in her right mind would send naked pics to someone they never met or doesn't like.As for Wiener he need to grow up....seriously!!!!
I feel that as a politician, we hold to higher him to a standard but if he was a normal person we wouldn't care.
I think he made a mistake of lying over an embarrasing situation. it wasnt a big deal but he made it one by lying about it
What sort of government official conducts himself that way. He should of learned from Spitzer that going down this road just leads to trouble. Weiner is idiotic for what he did.
I had no reaction to this, it happens with politicians all the time and theres nothing new about it
For sending those photos on twitter he should be in prison because there are hundreds other people who done the same thing like Wiener and they went to prison why should Wiener be the one who doesn't
I find that what he did was a move that only a person that wasn't thinking at all would do. He should of obviously known that everyone would see his tweet. Him telling the truth now isn't brave at all, he probably just did it since everyone would of had already found out that he was the one that twitted the pictures. Also, his last name is just too funny to take anything serious with.
why lie if the world knows it was you. just because you he didnt want to get caught he did. so he had to tell the truth
He should have admitted from the beginning freaking jerk. If he had the guts to tweet it then he should have straight up admitted it. He's disgusting though and his wife needs to punch him in his face, perv!!!
I think weiner is an absolute air head , maybe he should have asked someone how twitter worked before he came up with this clever idea. I think that he's going to have it hard because everyone is going to make comments and speak harshly about this but I do feel he is brave for not resigning.
I feel like if he knew it was his picture's and it came from his phone he should take responsibility for his actions him lying doesn't help his place in his position.
I think that Mr. Wiener was dumb to send those photos via Twitter and not privately by e-mail. Wiener clearly didn't think about how the many people who look at his Twitter page would also be able to see those photos. This is an excellent example of how you should always think twice before posting something on the internet.
When I found out that he put the pictures on twitter, I was shocked. Politicians tend to have more followers than your average tweeters because of their position in the government. You'd think he'd be a little more careful.Although these pictures are quite the scandal, I don't believe he should lose his job or anything. He was elected into office because what he promised to do or whatever. People shouldn't change their views because something involving his personal life leaked out to the public.
I didnt have a big reaction to Weiners scandal because i never believed him when he denied the picture. I think he is just a regular guy that just so happened to get caught.
I agree with Nick Rubino. If you're going to cheat on your wife(who knows what you look like down there), why would you post it on a social networking site/blog where literally nothing is private. He's a total idiot. I also agree with Mike Camera, its his business and we shouldn't care. But the fact that he lied about the scandal and lied to his mistresses, makes one to think we shouldn't believe anything else the man has to say. It was very unprofessional as a government official.
